About the Event

September 5: 

4:00 p.m.: We check into our hotel room block, the Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village. 

To make a reservation, call 1-888-236-2427, and identify yourself as being with the group: "Aaron Burr Association Sep. 2024." 

$175 plus taxes, per night.

Sep. 6: 

10:30 a.m.: We have a private, guided tour by the Historical Society of Princeton, including: Nassau Hall at P-ton U.; Maclean House; Aaron Burr Hall; the Whig and Clio Halls (named after the two debating societies Aaron Burr, Jr. belonged to while a student there); the Beatty House; and Princeton Cemetery (including Presidents' Row, where the Rev. Aaron Burr and Aaron, Jr. are buried).  

$15 fee.

2:00 p.m. : Tour the very large Firestone Library of P-ton U., where Burr material will be shown to us.

Sat., Sep. 7:

11:30 a.m.-2:30 pm: probably at the beautiful NASSAU CLUB, we have our Annual Meeting Luncheon. Our featured guest speaker is Princeton History Professor Kushanava Choudhury, who will present his research findings, in India, on the origins of "Mary Emmons" (her Anglicized name), the mother of two children by Aaron Burr.

Sunday, Sep. 8:

1 pm: we have a private, guided tour of the Princeton Battlefield site and, 2-3 pm, of the adjacent Clarke House & Museum.

Sep. 9:

10 am, we have a private, guided tour of the beautiful MORVEN Garden & Museum, with a box lunch included: total cost: 

$30 per person

Sep. 10 and 11: 

we will visit other important venues, which Stuart is currently working on. The P-ton area is an "embarrassment of riches."

Sep. 12: we check out of the Westin.
